Netop released an update to Netop Vision and Vision Pro classroom management software. Version 7.4 is a maintenance release for both Netop Vision and Netop Vision Pro and provides extended browser support, enhanced screen-sharing capabilities and improved installation support to make Vision deployment easier.
Updates in this maintenance release:
Support for Google Chrome
Vision and Vision Pro now support Google Chrome.
Previously, web access was completely blocked for Chrome
when a teacher applied a resource list or block list. With
this release, Chrome is now a fully supported browser, and
when a resource or block list is applied, students see the
standard Vision block page text.
Extended support for Mozilla Firefox
With this release, all versions of Firefox from version 2
are supported. The most recent version of Firefox is
13.0.
Improved screen-sharing (Vision Pro only)
In previous releases, teachers using Vision Pro could not
remotely control windows that ask the user for permission
to continue. These windows are called the User Account
Control (UAC) windows. Vision Pro screen sharing has now
been improved to allow teachers to remotely control secure
desktops and can remote control UAC windows.
New installers
In version 7.4, installation packages have been migrated to
a newer version of the installation framework. This means
that all components can be packaged into a single .msi file
to make it easier to IT administrators to deploy Vision to
multiple computers.
Maintenance update
A number of other minor issues reported by our customers
have been fixed in this release.

Licensing information
This maintenance release is available at no cost to
customers currently using version 7.0 and higher of Vision
and Vision Pro and does not require new license keys.
Netop Vision and Vision Pro customers with a current Netop
Advantage agreement will receive this update at no cost. If
you are using an older version of Netop Vision, then a new
license key is required to use this version.
