Gas Natural SDG : Rioja and Afoncagás promote expansion of natural gas in La Rioja

• The agreement aims to harness synergies with installation companies to raise awareness among residents and homeowner associations of the commercial offer from the distribution company.

Earlier today, the Director of Gas Natural Rioja, María Miró, and the Chairman of Afoncagás (the Association of Plumbing, Gas, Central Heating, Maintenance and Industrial Cooling Companies and Related Businesses in La Rioja), Gonzalo Sáenz, signed an agreement to promote the installation of natural gas in more homes, residential blocks and commercial establishments in La Rioja through installation technicians who are members of Afoncagás.

Under this agreement, Gas Natural Rioja seeks to increase the number of new supply points in homes connected to its distribution network, thereby strengthening the presence of natural gas in the region and promoting activity by installation companies, which will be able to benefit from significant advantages when collaborating with the company.

Gas Natural Rioja is finalising the terms of the nationwide public tender for installation companies and professionals with Afoncagás and is offering its members a number of additional advantages: new mobility tools in business, assistance in the processing of contracts digitally, and commercial and technical training via basic courses for members.

Presence in the region

Gas Natural Rioja, the distribution company of GAS NATURAL FENOSA in La Rioja, supplies natural gas to over 106,000 users in 43 towns. The company has a 900 kilometre distribution network and 83,000 supply points. At present, over 90% of the population in La Rioja has access to natural gas.
