Motorola Solutions, Inc. announced that Mark S. Hacker has been named general counsel and senior vice president of Legal & Government Affairs. Hacker replaces Lewis Steverson, who is leaving the company to become senior vice president and general counsel of Corning, Inc. Hacker joined Motorola in 2001 as a commercial counsel and previously was corporate vice president of commercial law for Motorola's Sales & Product Operations. Prior to that, he was vice president of legal operations and also oversaw the company's global legal team, Networks business and Connected Home business.

He has held a variety of other law leadership roles across Motorola's business units. Prior to Motorola, Hacker was a corporate finance associate with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and an accountant with Arthur Andersen, both in Philadelphia. Additionally, the company announced that Michelle Warner will become deputy general counsel and secretary to the board of directors.
