Zain Group Promotes Abdulghaffar Setareh as Chief Risk Officer

Zain Group has promoted Kuwaiti national, AbdulGhaffar Setareh, to the position of chief risk officer (CRO). The newly created executive role will see Setareh reporting to the Board Risk Committee, with responsibility for delivering the global risk framework and strategy across all operations within Zain Group. He has led Zain Group's Risk Department, as its director, from July 2005 and was previously corporate security manager, a position he held from 2002.

He has helped establish an enterprise-wide risk management framework for all business units at every level across Zain Group, which included eight Middle East operations (2005 to 2015) and 15 African operations (2005 to 2010).
