Micro Focus International PLC announced that it has appointed a new chief executive for the enlarged business it will become after the reverse takeover of the software unit of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Co. When announcing the deal, Micro Focus said Executive Chairman Kevin Loosemore and Chief Financial Officer Mike Phillips would continue in those roles after the deal. On January 17, 2017, Micro Focus said Chris Hsu, who is currently the chief operating officer of HP Enterprise and the executive vice-president of HP Enterprise Software, will become the chief executive of the enlarged business. Stephen Murdoch will remain CEO of Micro Focus until completion of the deal, and Loosemore will remain executive chairman until at least 2018, as had been previously announced.
