The Hospital da Luz urological surgeon, Kris Maes is a member of the 'Journal of Robotic Surgery' editorial board 26-01-15

Since December 2014, Kris Maes, urologist and robotic surgeon at the Hospital da Luz is member of the editorial board of the main medical and scientific magazine in the world on robotic surgery.

This magazine has been published since 2007 by the Society of Robotic Surgery (SRS) and brings together specialists in this field from all over the world. Eight volumes have now been published featuring over 480 original articles. Access to the magazine is restricted to physicians and members of the SRS. There are both online and paper versions of all issues.

The head editor of the 'Journal of Robotic Surgery' is the American surgeon David Albala, a physician at Crouse Hospital, in Syracuse and it was founded by Vipul Patel of the Global Robotics Institute, in Orlando, USA.

The magazine's 'editorial board' which includes the Hospital da Luz uirologist Kris Maes, also includes specialists from the most highly regarded international robotic surgery centers, such as those in Sweden, the USA, Belgium, Canada and the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
