Press Release 12 January 2012

Donation for Thailand - Logwin undertakes aid transport Grevenmacher (Luxembourg) - Unbureaucratic help. In December, the international logistics service provider Logwin provided support for a fund-raising campaign in aid of flood victims in Thailand. Logwin transported 15 professional high-pressure cleaners made by Kärcher free of charge from Stuttgart to Bangkok. The recipient was the Save the Children aid organization.

Kärcher, a company for which Logwin has been providing logistics services for a number of years, donated the high-pressure cleaners to enable school buildings in Thailand to be quickly freed up from the mud brought about by the devastating floods in autumn 2011. The aim is to get the schools open and running again quickly so as to make it possible for the affected children to live a normal, everyday life. "It is nice to see that we can help people in need with what we do every day," says Helmut Kaspers, COO of the business segment Air + Ocean at Logwin AG. "With our commitment we are taking on responsibility and helping where help is needed."

Logwin transported the high-pressure cleaners by air freight from Stuttgart to the Thai capital. The local Logwin office in Bangkok organized the delivery of the equipment to Save the Children. The high-pressure cleaners are currently in use in schools in Bangkok and the north of Thailand. "Our work would sometimes be impossible without the support of companies," explains Kathrin Wieland, Managing Director of Save

the Children Germany. "The donation of the cleaners and their transport have been of great help to us

and therefore to the children in Thailand - so thank you very much."
