LECG (NASDAQ:XPRT), a global business advisory services firm, has added Chris Amato as a managing director in the banking and real estate practice of the LECG business advisory and consulting sector. Amato will be based in LECG's Chicago office.

Amato brings more than 29 years of experience to LECG in multiple areas of the commercial, retail and multi-family real estate and construction industries. As a former executive for more than 15 years with a leading U.S. real estate investment trust, Chris has extensive expertise in virtually all financial and operational aspect of these businesses. He later established himself as a leading real estate specialist providing business consulting services to the industry.

Amato joins LECG from CJA Consulting, LLC, where he was the president and owner. He provided services to major global clients in the areas of business strategy, technology and revenue optimization solutions.

Prior to leading his own consulting business, Chris was a principal with Deloitte Consulting, LLP, where he held a leadership role in its real estate and construction industry consulting practice.

Amato holds a BS in finance, economics and accounting from Barat College.
