Kureha Announces 2022 Board Director Nominees

Kureha Corporation today announced that its Board of Directors has selected nominees who will stand for election to the Kureha Corporation Board of Directors at the Company's June 2022 General Shareholders Meeting. The selection of Director nominees was reviewed and approved by the Company's Nomination Advisory Committee, which comprises a majority of Independent Outside Directors.

In addition to the reappointment of the current five Board Directors (including two Independent Outside Directors), whose terms end at the closing of the General Shareholders Meeting in June 2022, Kureha will nominate two new Directors with an aim to further strengthen corporate governance, an Inside Director and an Independent Outside Director, bringing the total number of Board members to seven (three of which are Independent Outside Directors). The full list of Director nominees is shown below.

Note: Mr. Osamu Iida satisfies the requirements for an independent director stipulated by the Tokyo Stock
