Burtenbach, 25th September 2013

A new face in the Kögel Sales Division. Paul de Jong (51) joined the Burtenbach trailer manufacturer as its new European Exports Manager in August 2013. In this newly created position, de Jong will mainly be looking after the key accounts in Western Europe and report directly to the Sales Director, Wolfgang Schuster. He will, of course, also be directly available to customers to analyse their specific needs and to advise them on the Kögel product portfolio.

Paul was born in the Netherlands and has many years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry. Before joining Kögel, De Jong held the position of European Sales Director with an internationally active manufacturer of trailer axles. Prior to this he worked for some of the world's leading trailer rental companies, also in management positions. He thus has a comprehensive knowledge of the industry and products in the commercial vehicle market and knows all the major customers.

"The creation of this new position is yet another important step towards improving Kögel's sales structure," said Wolfgang Schuster, Sales Director at Kögel. "In Paul de Jong we have gained a competent expert to fill this position."

"I am very much looking forward to this exciting task," said Paul de Jong, European Exports Manager at Kögel. "It is my aim to join my colleagues in further increasing Kögel's market share in Western Europe and to establish long-term partnerships."

Since that time it has maintained its passion for transport and innovation, thus enabling it to offer proven long-lasting added value for freight forwarders. The company headquarters and main production facility of Kögel Trailer GmbH & Co. KG are in the Bavarian town of Burtenbach. In addition Kögel also has plants and premises in Neu-Ulm (Germany), Duingen (Germany), Chocen (Czech Republic), Moscow (Russia), and St. Petersburg (Russia). By the efforts of its approximately 1,000 employees, it achieved a sales figure of about €260 million in 2012.
