  • F-Logistik receives twelve Kögel Box and five Kögel Cool vehicles

F-Logistik GmbH is extending its fleet in the Saarland with twelve new Kögel Box dry freight box bodies and five Kögel Cool refrigerated semitrailers. The new Kögel Box trailers will be used primarily for the transport of medical products and equipment. The Kögel Cool refrigerated semitrailers will be deployed to the specialised transport of vital medication for a global health company.

Thanks to its comprehensive standard equipment level and the selected special equipment, these Kögel vehicles are ideal for the stringent requirements of these sensible transport tasks. For example, the trailers are equipped with the Kögel Telematics system. This allows real-time access to location, temperature, trailer and trailer EBS data. In this case, electronic temperature recorders from the forwarding company make a permanent record of the temperatures in several different sections inside the trailer. The driver and the forwarding company can read the data directly, can take immediate action if necessary and can provide the customer with uninterrupted proof of the required temperature behaviour. The Wabco internet portal provides F-Logistik with the location of the load and the coupling status, in addition to the temperature data. Even when de-coupled, the temperature recorder reliably measures and transmits the data since it is provided with power by an additional battery.

The refrigerated semitrailers are also suited to the variable multi-tier loading of 33 Euro pallets thanks to the aluminium rails recessed into the side walls. The trailers are, of course, certified to DIN EN 12642 Code XL.

"We appreciate the personal and highly qualified support provided by the field sales that is a matter of course from Kögel, together with the high quality of the Kögel trailers", says Jürgen Wörner, Managing Director at F-Logistik GmbH. "The components fitted and the finish at Kögel cope easily with our annual distance requirement of more than 300,000 kilometres."

Cathodic dip-paint coating: long-term corrosion protection
On the Kögel Box and the Kögel Cool, the entire vehicle frame is given long-lasting protection against corrosion by Nano Ceramic Technology and cathodic dip-paint coating, supplemented with UV lacquering.
