Kewill, a leading provider of innovative software for supply chain execution, has been commended as one of the top 100 software vendors in Europe, The Middle East and Africa (EMEA), according to data compiled by the Global Software Business Strategies Group at IDC. The region's leading software vendors across various sectors were evaluated and ranked from 1-100. The findings recognize Kewill's successful track record deploying and maintaining software solutions for customers across the EMEA region and worldwide.

The league table features as part of a wider report by PwC entitled 'Global 100 Software Leaders', which examines the evolutionary change the global software industry is in the midst of, as market forces converge, triggering deep and permanent shifts in the basic structure of the business.

Amongst other trends including consumerization, aggregation of technologies and the impact of big data, the report looks at how consolidations in the industry, as well as increasing globalization, are transforming the software sector landscape. Acquisitions are viewed as a research and development strategy, but also as a key way to acquire talent in a hyper competitive technology marketplace, and to build SaaS capabilities more effectively and efficiently.

The report concludes that the future of the software industry will look very different from what we see today. Ultimately, the software industry is morphing into an entirely new business that is no longer stand-alone.

Jan-Paul Boos, Senior Vice President EMEA at Kewill, says, "As a best of breed software provider, we are delighted to be positioned alongside Europe's largest and most well-known vendors. Despite challenging conditions and fierce competition in the software industry, Kewill's revenue and attitude has remained strong, which provides a solid foundation for ongoing investment and customer success."
