On Aug 29-31, the 79th Annual IMA World Magnesium Conference organized by International Magnesium Association was held in Barcelona, Spain.
Ka Shui Group was invited by the International Magnesium Association to attend the online meeting of the 79th Annual IMA World Magnesium Conference. Ka Shui group has also collaborated with Shaanxi Automobile Group to deliver a speech on the application of magnesium alloy in the development of lightweight commercial vehicles. According to the report, Ka Shui group and Shaanxi Automobile Group have conducted case studies on the usage of magnesium alloy in lightweight commercial vehicles such as in dashboards, hydrogen storage frameworks, battery packs and other parts for commercial trucks. The development includes design, material strengths, finite elements analysis and cost-benefit analysis. The research also consists of the economic value of weight reduction in commercial trucks and the analysis on the superiority of magnesium applications.
Through the Annual IMA World Magnesium Conference, Ka Shui Group and global magnesium industry experts met again to exchange their views on the development of the magnesium industry and to explore potential co-operation arising from the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry in the post-Covid-19 era.
