Karlsruhe, January 2016.

On March 1 - 3, 2016, INIT will be showcasing their latest state-of-the-art solutions at IT-TRANS, the International Conference and Exhibition for IT solutions in public transport in Karlsruhe.
During the three days of the exhibition, visitors from all over the world can take advantage of the opportunity to talk to our experts and view the latest developments on-site at the

INIT stand E2 in hall 1

Focus on ticketing
In the area of ticketing, INIT will focus on three new innovative products: the enhanced version of the globally successful background system MOBILEvario, as well as the latest generations of EVENDpc and the passenger terminal PROXmobil.

In its latest version, the multifunctional background system MOBILEvario supports card based and ID- / account based ticketing systems and is also designed for accepting Open Payments. The EMV standard (Level 2) enables passengers to use contactless credit cards as ticket media at the validators without prior registration. The system processes all transactions in real time and thus allows a precise and instant overview about the ticketing revenues. Furthermore, open programming interfaces are provided for external partner systems. Thus, the integration of both existing hardware (e. g. vending machines) as well as of software (e. g. websites or sales software) is possible.
All information relevant to the transportation company is provided in a statistics database and can be flexibly evaluated. Using a pre-set authorization concept, persons and institutions outside the company can be given access to statistics for any time period (e. g. for monthly cost reports of corporate customers) via a web application. In addition, external partners such as universities, schools and companies can manage their own accounts. This results in more transparency for them and a reduced workload for the transportation company.
EVENDpc2 - The all-in-one solution for vehicles
EVENDpc2 represents the next generation of the successful PC-based on-board computer with built-in ticket printer. With a hybrid reader, EVENDpc2 supports all current versions of e-ticketing, including open payment applications based on the EMV standard, as well as account-based systems. Besides the improved internal qualities, such as a faster processor and an enhanced data memory, the larger 25.6 cm (10.1 inch) display ensures optimal ergonomics for the drivers. The visibility field through the windscreen is not affected as the device dimensions have remained the same, while the display itself is larger through the utilization of the full front panel - thanks to the extremely slim frame.
The mounting plate of the combined unit now has a micro SD card that stores all sales data as back-up. In case of an incident, the sales data can be sent to the back office system and be promptly evaluated. Additionally, the device can be replaced immediately if necessary. It is a major benefit to existing customers that the current mounting plates of EVENDpc can be also used for EVENDpc2 without further modification. This makes a changeover especially easy. Migration can also be done gradually as the background system supports mixed fleet equipment with both devices.
INIT offers the right solution not only to drivers, but also to passengers. In comparison to its predecessor, the new electronic validator PROXmobil3 is equipped with a faster processor resulting in reduced transaction times. Furthermore, it is more compact and allows usage even where space is limited. Utmost convenience for the passengers is offered by an easy and convenient check-in/check-out process. Thanks to the integrated best-price calculation, passengers can just board and ride for the lowest price possible. They can use smart cards as well as NFC enabled smartphones, contactless credit cards based on the EMV standard and barcoded tickets. Furthermore, PROXmobil3 is not only the perfect solution for buses and trams, since a special version for outdoor use on platforms is also available.
INIT covers the fully integrated range of solutions for all key tasks of a transportation company. This includes the area of real-time passenger information. Using the shuttle buses, visitors of the IT-TRANS can already gain interesting insights into the current possibilities of passenger TV and passenger information on board buses and trains.
