HIL Limited reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was INR 8,632.7 million compared to INR 9,494.4 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 8,666.4 million compared to INR 9,516.9 million a year ago. Net income was INR 46.2 million compared to INR 506.5 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.13 compared to INR 67.41 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 6.13 compared to INR 66.99 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was INR 34,789.6 million compared to INR 35,202.4 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 35,043 million compared to INR 35,506.8 million a year ago. Net income was INR 971.1 million compared to INR 2,104.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 129.09 compared to INR 280.54 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 129.06 compared to INR 278.72 a year ago.
HIL Limited is engaged in providing home and building solutions. It operates through four segments: Roofing Solutions, Building Solutions, Polymer Solutions, Flooring Solutions, and Others. Roofing Solutions segment provides fiber cement sheets, colored steel sheets, and cement based non-asbestos corrugated sheets under the Charminar and Charminar Fortune brands. Building Solutions segment offers wet walling and dry walling solutions, including autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, panels, fiber cement boards, tile adhesives, and primers under the Birla Aerocon brand. Polymer Solutions segment offers unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), column pipes under the Birla HIL Pipes brand, and wall putty under the Birla HIL Putty brand. Flooring Solutions segment provides laminate, engineered and resilient flooring, and related accessories under the Parador brand. Others segments include material handling and processing plant and equipment.
