On December 3, 2012, Daniel Elsztain, a Class I trustee and member of the Acquisition Committee of the board of trustees of Hersha Hospitality Trust, resigned from the board. His resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the operations, policies or practices of the company.

The Company owns and operates luxury and lifestyle hotels in coastal gateway and resort markets. It has approximately 25 hotels totaling 3,811 rooms are located in New York, Washington, District of Columbia, Boston, Philadelphia, South Florida, and California. These 25 properties, with a total of 3,811 rooms, are located in California, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Company operates under brands owned by Marriott International, Inc. (Marriott), Hilton Worldwide, Inc.
