Amsterdam, 20 December 2013 - Heineken N.V. announced today that it will propose to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on 24 April 2014 that Mr. Jean-Marc Huët be appointed a member of the Supervisory Board of Heineken N.V. If approved, Mr. Huët will join the Audit Committee.

Mr. Huët, 44, is the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director of Unilever. He joined Unilever in 2010 from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President from 2008 to 2009. Prior to this, Mr. Huët spent five years as Chief Financial Officer of Royal Numico from 2003 until 2007, and ten years at Goldman Sachs International, where he was an Executive Director in Investment Banking Services.

Mr. Huët holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France, and a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, USA. Mr. Huët currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Delta Topco.

Subject to approval of the AGM on 24 April 2014 in respect of both the nomination of Mr. Huët and the re-appointment of Mrs. Fentener van Vlissingen and Messrs. Fernández Carbajal and Astaburuaga Sanjinès, the composition of the Supervisory Board of Heineken N.V. will be as follows:
