JANE MCALOON APPOINTED TO THE HEALTHSCOPE BOARD

Healthscope announced today that Jane McAloon has been appointed as a Non Executive Director of Healthscope Ltd with effect from 1 March 2016.

Healthscope Chairman, Ms Paula Dwyer, said in announcing her appointment to the Board, "Jane brings a wealth of commercial experience from her work in highly regulated industries including rail, energy, infrastructure and resources sectors. Her global perspective gained from leadership roles in businesses operating in Asia, in particular, will be highly valued."

Ms McAloon, 52, is the former President of Governance and Group Company Secretary of BHP Billiton and has international commercial and regulatory experience across different markets and industries. She currently serves as a Non Executive Director of Energy Australia and as a Director of the Bravery Trust.

Ms McAloon previously held various NSW State government positions, including Director General of the Ministry of Energy and Utilities and Deputy Director General of the Cabinet Office. She has also held various senior executive roles with AGL.

She has previously served as a member of the Australian Corporations and Markets Advisory Committee and as a member of the Council of the Australian War Memorial.

Ms McAloon holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws, Monash University, Australia and is a fellow of the AICD.
