GET demonstrates Red Dot Awarded Light Weight solar module in PV Taiwan 2016
Taiwan solar company Green Energy Technology (3519TT) is to demonstrate the Company's Red Dot Awarded Waveguide light weight solar module at PV Taiwan2016 starting from October 12, 2016.
GET Light Weight Waveguide Module- Advantages
Composed of waveguide material, no conventional soda-lime glass needed
Resisting wind pressure capacity 10,800pa, able to resist severe typhoon
Refractory test Class C passed
Weight near to 50% of conventional module
Height of 15mm the minimum.
Reduces possible PID (potential induced degradation) risk
No concern of reflection
Increases energy absorption rate of diffused light by 5%~10%,
Generates 10% more power output during early morning & late afternoon
GET is awarded one of the winners of "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016" for GET Waveguide solar module jointly developed with Gixia. The light weight solar module, instead of packing with conventional soda-lime glass, composed of waveguide material, solar cell and ultra-light support. The waveguide material reduces the possible PID (potential induced degradation) risk, enables the modules to apply on facades and increases energy absorption rate of diffused light by 5%~10%, therefore generates 10% more power output during early morning and late afternoon. It reduces the weight near to 50% of conventional module, with minimum height of 15mm.
GET Waveguide solar module is suitable for high end rooftop and building, transportation with sound barrier walls, and portable consumer products such as smart phone. Waveguide material is specially designed to be recyclable and reusable based on the concept of "circular economy."
GET brand name light weight Waveguide Solar Module is under review processes for patents in Japan, U.S., Taiwan and China.
