Anthem, Inc. announced that Bahija Jallal, PhD, has been named to its Board of Directors effective February 1, 2018. With more than 25 years of leadership experience and expertise in the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Jallal's science-driven leadership combined with her passion to improve the lives of patients will be an asset to Anthem's Board as they guide the company to help improve the health care system and simplify the way consumers access care. Dr. Jallal currently serves as Executive Vice President of AstraZeneca and President of its biotechnology subsidiary MedImmune, where she is responsible for biologics research and development activities and advancing the biologics portfolio of medicines.
