Officers of Anthem, Inc. (the "Company") will speak with investors over the next
several weeks. During these meetings, Company officers intend to reaffirm the
Company's net income guidance for full year 2021 to be greater than $24.89 per
share, including approximately $0.61 per share of net unfavorable items.
Excluding these items, the Company continues to expect adjusted net income to be
greater than $25.50 per share. This guidance does not include any other
adjustment items beyond those reported in the Company's second quarter 2021
earnings release.
