DTS (Nasdaq:DTSI), the leader in high definition audio, today announced a partnership with Edifier, a leading brand in China's multimedia and home speaker industry. Edifier will incorporate DTS Envelo? technology into their new M20 two-channel multimedia speaker system, allowing the consumer a more immersive entertainment experience. The M20 will launch at 2011 International CES in Las Vegas January 6 – 9 and will be available in China and other overseas markets beginning in spring 2011.

The integration of DTS Envelo into the Edifier M20 speaker system offers consumers the most sophisticated two-channel soundscape from a desktop audio device by creating a well-defined center channel for dialogue through the use of closely spaced micro-speakers that widen and deepen the sound stage. Thus, DTS Envelo technology offers enhanced sound quality and surround sound effect with input audio sources ranging from mono to stereo to 5.1 multi-channel surround.

Mr. Roy Law, Corporate VP and Managing Director of DTS, Greater China, states, ?DTS has always been at the forefront of bringing the best possible entertainment experience to consumers. As multimedia speakers continue to play a key role in entertainment activities for home users, the need for dynamic surround sound in desktop audio devices is becoming more widespread. We are proud to partner with a well-known, widely respected brand like Edifier to deliver high definition DTS sound to consumers.?

Mr. Zhang Wendong, President of Edifier, also commented, ?Being a leader in the multi-speaker industry, Edifier never stops seeking the best solutions and strives to deliver world-class products. Partnering with DTS demonstrates our commitment to consumers. We believe that with DTS technology, we can take our products to the next level and offer consumers a surround sound experience second to none.?
