The 2014 Research Practitioner Skills Day (Twitter hashtag #researchskillsday) has been scheduled to take place in London on 11 March 2014. The event, hosted by search-consult and sponsored by Dillistone Systems, a leading global supplier of FileFinder Executive Search software, has been designed specifically to help researchers achieve the best possible results for their searches.

At the event, researchers will receive practical tips and learn techniques that will make a difference to the way they work. The day will comprise of three breakout sessions and a Q+A discussion. Splitting attendees into small groups for breakout sessions will mean that trainers can better address each individual's needs.

The trainers lined up for the event are former research director, Europe, for Russell Reynolds Associates Carol O'Driscoll, Heidrick & Struggles alumni Francesca Lahiguera and internet research specialist Lois Grimshaw.

Jason Starr, Managing Director of search-consult, said: "Search firms are under pressure to deliver candidate shortlists ever quicker.  To do this, it is vital that they have an up to date set of skills - and yet, during the downturn, many firms have cut back on researcher training.  This unique event gives attendees the opportunity to work with and learn from three of the industries leading trainers in a cost effective and highly productive day."
