BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - In Germany, about every third tenant household is overburdened with housing costs, according to a study. More than three million households pay more than 40 percent of their net income for cold rent and heating costs, according to the study presented by the Tenants' Association in Berlin on Thursday. With further approximately 4.3 million households these costs made between 30 and 40 per cent of the income. Tenants are considered overburdened if they have to spend more than 30 percent of their income on housing costs.
