(Cincinnati & New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; January 11, 2012) - Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management, is hiring for 70 full-time positions for its contact centre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. 

Interested candidates are invited to attend an on-site Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 12 at Convergys, 610 East River Road. Attendees should enter through the back entrance behind Zeller's.

New employees will provide customer service support for a Convergys client in the health care industry. 

"Customer service continues to be a top priority for many companies," said Meghan Betts, site leader for the Convergys contact centre in New Glasgow. "Building strong relationships with customers while helping them manage their health care needs is of particular importance, as these are among the most important decisions they can make.

"Working at Convergys also may serve as a great stepping stone to a career in operations, recruitment or training," Betts added. "In fact, more than 70 percent of Convergys' customer service managers began their careers as agents, and we are known for the internal promotion of our employees."

Potential candidates should possess solid customer service experience, strong computer/keyboarding skills, Grade 12 education or GED, and the ability to work a flexible schedule from Monday through Friday.  Employment with Convergys also is contingent on a successful background check.
