Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that Richard King, a driver out of Rockford, was named the Michigan Trucking Association's Driver of the Month for January. King received the recognition at a recent awards banquet in Lansing.

The association selected King based on criteria including safety, customer relations, employer relations, acceptance of responsibility, care of equipment and work habits. His Con-way Freight service center manager nominated him for the award. Member companies may nominate just two drivers per year under the annual program.

We congratulate Richard on this significant accomplishment.?

King has been driving for Con-way Freight for 21 of his 39 years' total driving experience. A mentor and leader in the Grand Rapids service center, King has completed five perfect-attendance years on the job ? in 2001 and 2003 through 2006.
