China - Pratt & Whitney Canada, a business unit of Pratt & Whitney, announced that the CITIC Offshore Helicopter Co. Ltd. (COHC) center in Shenzhen is expanding the range of its maintenance services authorized to provide line maintenance and mobile repair team support for the PW206B2 and PW206B3 engines powering the Airbus H135B2/B3 helicopters and the PW206C powering the Leonardo AW109 aircraft.

COHC joined the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) Designated Maintenance Center (DMF) network in 2018 to provide maintenance services for the PT6C-67C engines powering Leonardo's AW109 helicopters. The center recently signed a contract with Leonardo for four AW109 aircraft that will be used for offshore oil and gas operations. Deliveries will be completed by mid-2023, bringing the Leonardo fleet operated by COHC to ten helicopters, including eight AW139 aircraft, one AW169 and one AW109, all powered by PW&C engines.
