THE FIRST LARGE-CAPACITY OFFSHORE WIND POWER FARM

PROJECT IN THE GUANGDONG-HONGKONG-MACAO GREATER BAY AREA CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE EPC GENERAL CONTRACT BY A SUBSIDIARY OF THE COMPANY BEING CONNECTED TO THE GRID AND STARTED POWER GENERATION IN FULL CAPACITY

This announcement is made by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (the "Company") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that, recently, the Zhuhai Jinwan Offshore Wind Farm (the "Project") constructed under the EPC general contract by China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.* (中國能源建 設集團廣東省電力設計研究院有限公司), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Planning and Design Co., Ltd.* (中國能源建設集團規劃設計有限公司) (a subsidiary of the Company), was connected to the grid and started power generation in full capacity. The Project is the first large- capacity offshore wind power farm project in the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Project has a total installed capacity of 300MW. There are 55 Made-in-Chinaanti-typhoon offshore wind turbines in total with 5.5MW each installed, and equipped with an onshore centralized control center and an offshore booster station. After the completion of the Project, it is expected that it could provide around 800 million KWh of clean electricity annually, satisfying the annual electricity consumption of approximately 300,000 households. Compared with the coal-fired power plant of similar scale, it could save approximately 240,000 tons of standard coal consumption and reduce approximately 460,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
