On October 2, the first full-size Hyperloop capsule was presented at the AIRTIFICIAL (new name after the merge between Carbures and Inypsa) facility in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz). A structure 32 meters long, fully sensorized to monitor temperature variables, deformation, stress in real time. The engineering works have been developed over the last two years, and the manufacturing period has been extended since last year 2017. Engineers and operators from the Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, and El Puerto de Santa María centers have participated in the project.

The capsule, first in the world of real size, is built with 85% carbon fiber, 21,000 hours of engineering have been necessary, it has a double skin of composites for greater safety. Soon, it will travel to Toulousse where Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has the European test center. There, the equipment will be completed with the systems and technologies necessary for the progress of the tests.

To give you an idea of how the assembly process has been developed from the first pieces to the last brushstroke, here we leave you a time lapse video, in which just over a minute you can see months of hard work.
