CENTURION INTERNATIONAL WITH ROBUST BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2022 DESPITE VOLATILE GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Centurion International AG publishes preliminary, unaudited consolidated figures
  • Annualized consolidated revenue increased by 9.6 percent to EUR 4.46 million compared to the same period of the previous year; total consolidated revenue reached EUR 2.23 million
  • EBITDA of EUR 0.33 million, annualized stronger compared to previous year
  • Outlook for 2022: focus on liquefied natural gas and hydrogen transactions

Frankfurt am Main, November 1, 2022 - Centurion International AG ("CIAG"; ISIN DE000A0JK2A8) has published its preliminary, unaudited consolidated interim financial statements for the first half of 2022. Preliminary total consolidated revenue for the first 6 months of FY 2022 was EUR 2.23 million, representing linear annualized consolidated revenue of EUR 4.46 million, an increase in revenue of 9.6 percent compared to the same period in the previous year (FY 2021: EUR 4.07 million). This positive development is attributable to successful transaction advisory services in a volatile but optimistic market environment in the African energy sector.

EBITDA OF 0.33 MN. EUR, ANNUALIZED STRONGER COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEAR

The overall Group's operating EBITDA was EUR 0.33 million in the first half of 2022. Accordingly, based on current profitability, annualized EBITDA of EUR 0.66 million is expected, which would be 39.8 percent higher than the already good comparative figure for the previous year (2021: EUR 0.472 million). In addition to the increase in sales, developments in performance improvement contributed significantly to the rise in operating profit.

TRANSACTION MOMENTUM IN THE AFRICAN ENERGY SECTOR CONTINUES

In the first half of 2022, Centurion International managed to further increase its business activities despite ongoing challenges in the global energy sector. During the period under review, the company advised several companies on mergers & acquisitions in the West African energy sector. Other key events in 2022 included, on the one hand, the successful listing of Centurion International on the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange in February 2022, and in October 2022, the Company's participation in African Energy Week, a relevant conference series in Cape Town that meets annually and focuses primarily on developments in the African energy industry.

OUTLOOK: FOCUS ON LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS AND HYDROGEN TRANSACTIONS

With an eye on the macroeconomic upheavals caused by the war in Ukraine, Centurion International is focusing more on brisk business activity in the liquefied natural gas and hydrogen sectors. "Many African countries, such as Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Senegal, have abundant natural gas resources and some already have LNG infrastructure," says NJ Martin Ayuk, CEO of Centurion International. "Germany has a great interest in securing energy supply also via LNG from Africa. Our company has positioned itself more strongly in this market segment in 2022."

For the second half of 2022, the Centurion International Group expects a continued solid transaction environment in the European-African energy sector. "The expansion of the hydrogen strategy of the German government, is an important milestone for the African energy sector. The trade of hydrogen holds enormous economic potential, and we see ourselves as an important strategic partner to help drive this forward," said Ayuk.
