The Bridge: where printing meets inserting

The Ipex fair opens its doors to visitors from March 24 to 29,

2014 at the ExCel site in London. At the largest printing, media and publishing event of the year, BÖWE SYSTEC will be at Riso booth N2-D191 presenting The Bridge, which has been developed jointly by the two companies. This special configuration allows documents to be printed on demand, transported onward and subsequently inserted without any need for manual intervention. The innovative concept of The Bridge thus makes the White Paper Factory a reality in the mailroom and office environment.

BÖWE SYSTEC and renowned printer manufacturer Riso have taken a further crucial step toward process automation with their new product, which will be on display at Ipex 2014: an integrated conveyor - the actual "bridge" - links a high-quality Riso full-color printer with BÖWE SYSTEC's proven Vario inserting system. The inkjet printer is designed for high- quality Simplex and Duplex color printing in A4-format and enables cut- sheet processing with its high stacking capacity of up to 4,000 sheets, while the Vario inserting system can reliably process up to 8,200 envelopes an hour in DL, C6/5, C5 or B5 format. "The Bridge gives customers much more flexibility in how they manage their printing and mailing," explains Waleed Khan, Managing Director at BÖWE SYSTEC UK. "It provides them with the power, speed and reliability to produce up to 8,200 finished items in an hour. That's in addition to the print runs they normally do, but without the need to add large, expensive print solutions
to their systems."

Closed loop processing for maximum integrity
The printed documents are transferred fully automatically to the inserting system via the conveyor, without any need for manual intervention. An opaque cover over the conveyor prevents anyone from looking in and tampering with the process from the outside. This safety concept, along with closed loop processing and full monitoring of the document flow, guarantee highest integrity. The Bridge is thus ideally suited for the dispatch of sensitive documents.
White Paper Factory for mailroom and office
