Boart Longyear Limited announced changes to strengthen its executive management team. Ms. Nora Pincus joins the Company as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary replacing Mr. Robert Closner after serving in various positions over a period of 12 years, with effect from 13 August 2020. Robert was a valued member of the Executive Team and provided sound advice and support to the Board of Directors. Nora most recently has been a corporate attorney focused on representing international mining companies in operational matters, mergers and acquisitions, financings and capital market transactions. Nora was the lead outside U.S. legal counsel for Barrick during the Barrick/Newmont joint venture negotiations in 2019. She was also the lead outside counsel for Navajo Transitional Energy Corporation (NTEC) when they acquired Cloud Peak Energy in 2019. Nora's extensive experience in the metals and mining sector are a great fit for company having had dealings with many of the Company's primary customers. Nora holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Utah and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. Prior to joining Boart Longyear, Nora was a partner at the law firms Dorsey & Whitney, and Parsons Behle & Latimer. Mr. Brendan Ryan, Chief Business Development Officer, has notified the Company of his intention to leave Boart Longyear. Brendan has served on the Executive Committee since 2016 in both the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Development roles. His contributions as an executive team member, as well as his knowledge and understanding of global market dynamics will be missed.
