(Grambach, 12th August 2015): The Styrian plant engineering company BDI - BioEnergy International AG has developed a new technology which emerged from its in-house research for the production of algae recyclables to industrial maturity.

Following a successful test phase in the pilot plant in Grambach, BDI will now push the industrialization of their technology. Therefore, the company will invest in an own industrial plant in form of a new kind of algae reactor system for the production of algae biomass. The facility is scheduled for completion in the 3rd quarter of 2016.

The innovation stemming from own research enables the development of processes and equipment for the production and use of algae biomass to be manufactured for consequential industries in the fields of food supplements, cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.
