Mapfre Vida, S.A. de Seguros y Reaseguros sobre la Vida Humana agreed to acquire remaining 49% stake in Aseval Consultora De Pensiones Y Seguros, S.L. and Laietana Vida, Compañía De Seguros De La Caja De Ahorros Laietana, S.A., Sociedad Unipersonal from Bankia, S.A. (BME:BKIA) for approximately €190 million on July 25, 2016. Under the terms of the transaction, Mapfre Vida will increase its capital to €7.5 million through the issuance of 7.5 million of shares of €1 each with a premium of €178 million correspondent to €23.7 per share. The shareholders meeting of Mapfre Vida has approved the acquisition of both the companies. Once completed the merger process, the transference of all assets rights and obligations of Aseval and Laienta to Mapfre Vida will be completed.
