During 2020, Bankia has brought financial education to 470,000 people via Bankademia, the financial education programme launched by Bankia in February 2019 with the aim of providing financial knowledge to the general public, with a digital strategy and the collaboration of experts, through an interactive multi-platform that promotes training and consultation.

Bankademia has provided ten courses on topics such as basic finance, housing, savings and investment, taxes, the agricultural sector, SMEs and self-employed workers, aid and subsidies and employment.

Since its launch, 150 articles, 68 videos, 25 podcasts and 45 computer graphics related to the different topics covered by the courses have been prepared, and these have included the participation of economic experts and influencers.

Bankia's Director of Development of Communication Projects, Javier Tomé, stressed that 'Bankademia's objective is to facilitate the understanding of finance-related concepts for the general publicby means of easily understandable, accessible and rigorous training content, which we offer thanks to the help of experts and influencers'.

The initiative is aimed at all audiences that have contact with financial and economic realities; since it has useful content that focuses on answering questions about savings, loans, investments, rentals or budgets. In addition, some of the courses have been designed for population segments related to vulnerable groups, the agricultural world or young people.

Bankademia is part of Bankia's Responsible Management Model, which includes the entity's commitment to improving society and for which financial education is one of its main levers.

In this context, the bank has set itself the challenge not only to ensure the meticulousness of its content to become a benchmark, but to also to ensure people become more interested in having greater financial knowledge.

In addition, through its Corporate blog, Bankia offers informative and current content on topics related to personal finance, economic analysis, taxation and legal matters.
