Baluchistan Wheels Limited announced unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2018. For the nine months, the company reported turnover – net of PKR 1,351,289,000 against PKR 1,099,168,000 for the same period a year ago. Operating income was PKR 92,118,000 against PKR 130,149,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 90,552,000 against PKR 129,089,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 70,796,000 or PKR 5.31 per basic and diluted share against PKR 98,542,000 or PKR 7.39 per basic and diluted share for the same period a year ago.
For the quarter, the company reported PKR 495,507,000 against PKR 425,684,000 for the same period a year ago. Operating income was PKR 34,015,000 against PKR 65,912,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 33,814,000 against PKR 65,575,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 27,023,000 or PKR 2.03 per basic and diluted share against PKR 51,286,000 or PKR 3.85 per basic and diluted share for the same period a year ago.
Baluchistan Wheels Limited is a Pakistan-based company, which is focused on manufacturing of automotive wheels. The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of automotive wheel rims for trucks, buses, tractors, cars, and mini-commercial vehicles. It has the capability to manufacture a diverse range of wheels for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural tractors, and 4x4 vehicles. Its products include disc wheel for cars; disc wheel for commercial; tractor rear disc wheel; and tractor front disc wheel. It has developed tubeless wheels sized 8.25 x 22.5 for trucks and 6.0x17.5 for minibuses and trucks. It is also exporting wheels to countries, including Germany, England, Ireland, Italy, Turkey, South America, Thailand, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Dubai, Sri-Lanka, and Bangladesh. It has installed a high-tech disc spinning machine, which has the capacity to produce disc of commercial vehicle wheels.
