Bajaj Electricals Limited announced that the company has received an order dated April 22, 2024, from the Office of the Superintendent, Jaipur, issued by the said GST Authority under Section 73 of the CGST Act, 2017, read with the relevant sections of the Rajasthan Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and the IGST Act, 2017, involving an alleged penalty of INR 0.08 million for the financial year 2018-19, on the grounds of alleged inadmissible availment of the input tax credit. After evaluating the case and considering the low quantum of demand, the Company has decided to pay the above penalty and has elected to close the case. This has no impact on the financial operations or any other activities of the Company.
