Axtel reported earnings results for the second quarter of 2018. Total revenues for the second quarter increased 2% year-over-year or 4% excluding legacy wireless business. EBITDA in the second quarter totaled MXN 1,416 million, including MXN 100 million benefit from the tower sale transaction. Excluding the tower sale benefit, EBITDA was MXN 1,315 million, 10% higher than the comparable number in the second quarter 2017. CapEx in the second quarter was MXN 798 million, or $41 million, including MXN 217 million of investment made through financial leases. This amount compares to MXN 652 million in the second quarter of 2017.

For the year 2018, the company expects $175 million of CapEx, and the company split that number in the $160 million in acquisition of tangible and intangible assets plus $15 million for frequency renewals. The company expects depreciation to be mostly at the current levels.
