Asia Poly Holdings Berhad (KLSE:ASIAPLY) agreed to acquire 50% stake in Darwell Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. from Ooi Chee Seong and Tan Lian Li for MYR 6.1 million on July 11, 2024. The transaction will be financed through internal generated funds.

The transaction is subject to consummation of due diligence investigation. The expected completion of the transaction is within 3 months.

Asia Poly Holdings Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and cell cast acrylic sheet products under the brand name of A-CAST. The Companyâs segments include Manufacturing, which is engaged in manufacturing of cast acrylic product; Trading, which is engaged in trading in chemical material; Property development, which is engaged in property development; Renewable energy, which includes renewable energy from biogas plant, and Others, which consists of investment holding company and subsidiaries which are dormant. Its acrylic sheet products are used in a range of applications such as cosmetic display stands, sings, furniture, infra-red applications, noise barriers, telephone booths, poster displays, interior fittings and other miscellaneous usage. The cast acrylic sheet products are available in two types of finishes, which are matt-finish and gloss finish. The Company supplies its products domestically as well as to international markets.
