ARO Granite Industries Ltd. reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported sales/income from operations of INR 464.106 million against INR 401.444 million a year ago. Net sales/income from operations was INR 459.827 million against INR 398.877 million a year ago. Profit from operation before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 33.468 million against INR 29.627 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 18.057 million against INR 37.437 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was INR 14.444 million or INR 1.42 per basic and diluted share after extra ordinary items against INR 25.291 million or INR 2.48 per basic and diluted share after extra ordinary items a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported sales/income from operations of INR 1,360.740 million against INR 1,185.604 million a year ago. Net sales/income from operations was INR 1,347.996 million against INR 1,177.703 million a year ago. Profit from operation before other income, finance costs and exceptional items was INR 153.393 million against INR 107.540 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 103.234 million against INR 104.741 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was INR 62.232 million or INR 6.10 per basic and diluted share after extra ordinary items against INR 70.758 million or INR 6.94 per basic and diluted share after extra ordinary items a year ago.
Aro Granite Industries Limited is an India-based company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of granite slabs and tiles. The Company operates through two segments: Manufacturing of Engineered Quartz Stone Slabs and Manufacturing of Natural Stone Granites Slab and Tiles. The Companyâs products include slabs, tiles, cut-to-size, and quartz. It offers products in an array of finishes, including polished finish, flamed finish, honed finish, brushed finish, leather finish and caress finish. It processes Indian, African, Finland, Norway, Brazil, Iran, African and Ukraine Granite regularly. It also offers slabs as per the customerâs specific requirements. It exports to over 45 countries around the world. The Tiling Plant has an installed capacity of approximately 360,000 square meters per annum. Its customer network spans the globe and is meeting the granite needs of United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Far East and South Pacific Countries.
