Answear.com, a leading e-commerce provider of fashion and home & lifestyle products in the CEE region, according to preliminary data generated in Q4 2022. PLN 359 million in sales revenue, an increase of 39% y-o-y. The high growth rates despite the challenging market environment place Answear.com as one of the fastest growing fashion e-commerce platforms in Europe.

A record fourth quarter is behind us, in which we generated very good sales results. It is also pleasing to maintain high growth rates, despite the high base from last year, especially in the fourth quarter. We consistently show that our business has solid foundations and is resistant to temporary economic turmoil and downturn, thanks to which we are one of the fastest growing fashion e-commerce platforms in Europe - comments Krzysztof Bajołek, CEO of Answear.com.

The good sales performance in the past quarter was influenced, among other things, by optimal stocking for the autumn-winter 2022 season, which enabled the Company to respond aptly and on an ongoing basis to customers' needs. Marketing activities, including TV campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness, also played an important role. They effectively supported sales at key moments for the Company, namely Black Week and the Christmas period. It is also worth mentioning the constant development of new product categories home & lifestyle and sport & outdoor, which were very popular among customers looking for inspiring Christmas gifts.

Looking at the entire second half of the year, we recorded an increase in online sales in the order of 40%, i.e. above the dynamics achieved in the first half of the year amounting to 31%. As a result of these increases, the Company ended the year 2022 with sales revenues of nearly PLN 1 billion. It is worth emphasising the very good results of the geographic expansion carried out at the end of 2021 and in the first half of 2022: new markets are already generating sales above the assumed plans - adds Jacek Dziaduś, Vice President of the Management Board for Finance of Answear.com.
