Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. entered into an agreement to acquire coal gasification technology business of Shell Global Solutions International B.V.

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD) entered into an agreement to acquire coal gasification technology business of Shell Global Solutions International B.V. on January 9, 2018. In addition, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. also acquired Shell’s patent portfolio for Liquids (Residue) Gasification. The acquisition is expected to close in the coming months.
