(Stock Code: 1288)Reference is made to the announcement on the resolutions of the board of directors (the "Board") of Agricultural Bank of China Limited (the "Bank") dated 21 January 2016, the announcement on the poll results of the 2016 first extraordinary general meeting dated 8 March 2016 (the "EGM") and the announcement on proposed appointment of Vice Chairman of the Board dated 8 March 2016. Mr. ZHAO Huan was elected as an Executive Director of the Bank at the EGM and was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Board at the meeting of the Board held on 8 March 2016, subject to the ratification of his qualification by the China Banking Regulatory Commission (the "CBRC").
The Bank has received the Approval on the Eligibility of Mr. ZHAO Huan of Agricultural Bank of China Limited (Yin Jian Fu [2016] No. 85) from the CBRC recently. According to relevant regulations, the CBRC has ratified Mr. ZHAO Huan's qualification to serve as an Executive Director and the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Bank, and his term of office shall commence from 24 March, 2016.
The biographical details of Mr. ZHAO Huan are set out below:
ZHAO Huan, male, born in December 1963. He received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University and holds a certificate of senior economist. Mr. Zhao has serviced as the President of the Agricultural Bank of China Limited since March 2016. Mr. Zhao previously served in China Construction Bank, successively as deputy director and director of Business Management Division of Banking Credit Department, director of General Administration Division of Corporate Business Department, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Business Department, Vice President of Xiamen Branch, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Corporate Business Department, and President of Shanghai Branch. He has served as the Executive Vice President of China Construction Bank since March 2011. Since January 2014, Mr. Zhao has served successively as executive director of China Everbright Group Limited, China Everbright Group Ltd., executive director and the President of China Everbright Bank Company Limited (listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Shanghai Stock Exchange under stock codes: 06818 and 601818, respectively).
