AGR has appointed Olav Fjell as its Chairman of the Board of Directors following the acquisition by the European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital in 2014.

Olav has significant leadership experience in the financial and oil & gas industries including leading Statoil as Chief Executive Officer from 1999 - 2003. He was later CEO of the credit firm, Lindorff from 2006 to 2007 and of the shipping company Hurtigruten from 2007 to 2012. He is currently Chairman of the Norwegian state-owned electricity company, Statkraft.

The newly appointed Chairman said: "It's an exciting time for AGR - the company's robust technical skills and impressive track record combined with Silverfleet's investment positions the company well for future growth. I look forward to applying the experience I've gathered over the years to help realise the company's goals."

Olav joins Silverfleet Capital's Adrian Yurkwich and David MacKenzie as a board member.

Silverfleet partner, Adrian Yurkwich, said: "Olav is an excellent addition to the Board of Directors. His wealth of industry and leadership experience is an invaluable asset to the company and will help shape AGR's future as we start to expand the business internationally.

"I look forward to welcoming Olav to the team at AGR."
