On March 27, 2018, Josh C. Anders, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, of Adams Resources & Energy, Inc., and its principal accounting and financial officer, notified the Company of his intent to resign from the Company effective in mid-April 2018, and will join an upstream exploration and production company. It is expected that Mr. Anders will remain in his current position until mid-April 2018. Mr. Anders' departure was not the result of any disagreements with the Company regarding accounting, financial reporting, operations, policies, practices or otherwise.
Upon Mr. Anders' departure, Sharon C. Davis, the Company's Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Operating Officer, will assume the duties of Chief Financial Officer and principal accounting officer on an interim basis, effective upon the departure of Mr. Anders' in mid-April 2018 until Mr. Anders' successor is chosen and appointed by the Board of Directors of the Company. Ms. Davis, currently serves as the Company's Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Accounting Officer. Ms. Davis was appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in March 2015.
