ADIB Egypt announced that following the death of ADIB Egypt's managing director, acting chairman and chief executive officer Nevine Lotfy, the bank has appointed Zuhair Hamada Idris as acting chief executive officer. He had previously been the bank's chief operating officer. At the same time, ADIB Egypt's board of directors also agreed to appoint Fareed Farouk Al Bilbisi as acting chairman.

Al Bilbisi, a member of the Board, had held the position of Group CFO of National Holding and currently holds the position of Executive Director in Scope Investment, as well as other board memberships in the group. With over two decades of experience, he has a wealth of knowledge in the banking industry, hospitality, and manufacturing, among others. Prior to joining the National Holding Group in 2011, Al Bilbisi was the Chief Financial Officer of Emaar Industries and Investments from 2009 to 2011, and Vice President in the Kingdom Hotel Investments from 2005 to 2009, and Director at Ernst & Young from 1996 to 2005.
