3D Metalforge advised that it has finished testing and commissioning a range of customised polymer printers that will expand its offering into high performing polymers such as PACF (nylon carbon fibre) and PEEK (Polyether ether ketone). 3MF believes that high performing polymers will be increasingly demanded by customers in the defence, maritime and oil & gas sectors. The unique properties of PACF include higher stiffness, and chemical resistance and PEEK is known for its excellent chemical and thermal resistance. 3MF has installed 3 printers with a print size of 600mm x 600mm x 600mm and 4 printers of 400mm x 300mm x 300mm with a further 5 of the larger format printers due to be installed in global locations in the next 2 months. This will increase the Company's fleet of polymer printers to 33 capable of printing in up to 25 different materials.
