* KOSPI falls, foreigners net sellers

SEOUL, June 23 (Reuters) - Round-up of South Korean financial markets:

** South Korean shares fell on Friday and were set for their worst week so far this year, as worries grew that central banks globally might continue on a monetary tightening path for longer.

** The won weakened, while the benchmark bond yield rose.

** The benchmark KOSPI fell 18.07 points, or 0.70%, to 2,575.63 as of 0152 GMT.

** The KOSPI was down 1.93% for the week, which would mark the biggest weekly loss since the last week of 2022.

** "Worries about U.S. Federal Reserve's additional rate hikes were fanned once again after a 50-basis-point move by the Bank of England (BOE)," Samsung Securities analyst Seo Jung-hun said.

** The BOE raised interest rates by half a percentage point on Thursday, saying there had been "significant" news suggesting Britain's persistently high inflation would take even longer to fall.

** Chipmaker Samsung Electronics rose 0.70% but peer SK Hynix lost 1.05%, while battery maker LG Energy Solution declined 1.05%.

** Celltrion rose 1.49% after the biopharmaceutical maker said it would acquire its own shares worth 50 billion won ($38.43 million).

** All other index heavyweights fell, including automakers and online platform firms. Of the total 934 issues traded, less than 200 shares rose.

** Foreigners were net sellers of shares worth 50.8 billion won ($39.04 million).

** The won was quoted at 1,300.4 per dollar on the onshore settlement platform, 0.42% lower than its previous close.

** The won was down by over 2.2% for the week, set for the biggest weekly loss in four months.

** In money and debt markets, September futures on three-year treasury bonds fell 0.06 point to 103.88.
