It was announced today that STRIVR Labs Inc., in an effort to help organizations and teams bring never-before-seen VR experiences to their fan base, has launched a Fan Experience and VR Production division aimed at bringing teams, brand partners, fans, and venues as close to the action as the athletes themselves.

Headed up by STRIVR Managing Partners Logan Mulvey and Brian Murphy, the new division recently created a fully immersive and interactive experience in partnership with Madison Square Garden and the New York Rangers, allowing fans the opportunity to "step into the skates" of a Rangers goalie and block game-like shots from real New York Rangers players in a virtual Madison Square Garden.

“STRIVR has been an incredible partner to MSG,” said Andrew Lustgarten, EVP of Corporate Development & Strategy of The Madison Square Garden Company. “You truly feel like you are on the ice at The Garden, and it brings our fans to places they’ve never been before.”

Mulvey is a former Hollywood film executive who will bring his marketing expertise to STRIVR after founding independent digital distribution labels GoDigital and Amplify. Murphy is a former college baseball standout and served as Head of Finance and Business Development at both GoDigital and Amplify under Mulvey.

Founded in February 2015, STRIVR has quickly established itself as the premiere VR sports training platform for professional and college athletes, with a rapidly expanding roster of 23 organizations and universities that includes the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Stanford University, Clemson University, Washington Capitals, and the Washington Wizards, among others.

In December, STRIVR partnered with Visa, Bank Of America, and the New England Patriots to create an exclusive game day VR experience that allowed fans to travel inside the game and see the Patriots practice through the eyes of a player, step inside the Patriots' facilities, and stand on the 50-yard line at Gillette Stadium.

STRIVR will be showcasing their technology and content at CES 2016, where the company founders will speak at the Sports Tech Marketplace and Conference on January 7th.

The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.
