(Alliance News) - The US could reach the debt limit currently set by Congress next week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned Friday, saying the Treasury will need to begin "extraordinary measures" to prevent a default if so.
Such measures will only help for a limited time, Yellen warned in a letter to Congressional leadership, saying: "It is therefore critical that Congress act in a timely manner to increase or suspend the debt limit."
